Hi guys,

I just recently finished this creature concept art, one of a series of character concepts for a film that I was working on. He's quite large, the finished art had a dozen small children climbing all over him. He's made of many rocks that have magically come together to form the metamorphism guardian that you see. He's a nice guy so he couldn't appear to evil and scary. I spent 3 days building him in Photoshop / Painter and another half a day taking photos of rocks... : ) Painter was used for layout and Photoshop for working in rock textures and final touches.
Had lots of creative freedom, so it was a joy to work on!

Meet Shrimphead, he's 5 and has come from the future. The past is full of weird creatures that are new to Shrimphead and not from the world he grew up in.

Shrimphead is a concept that I had recently developed. In this image I did begin to paint hundreds of butterflies swarming around him, but then thought it seemed a little over kill and the single bug seemed so much stronger as an image.
